Girl's Camp: Crazy Hair Day!
Katie really wanted to give me a mohawk on crazy hair day, so I told her she could. Then it was discovered that Martille (the YW Pres. in our branch) had that colored hairspray, so I got a multi-colored mohawk. Martille told me that I looked like a British punk. I don't see it myself, but I certainly stood out! It was fun.
Girl's Camp: Super Hero Day!!!
This year was Katie's first year to go to girl's camp, and the first time I'd gone since I think I was 13! Yikes. They had a day for dressing up as Super Hero's, and Katie decided she wanted to dress up as Hell Boy. So I brought along face paints, and painted her face red - as you'll see. Katie's friend Chantal, who, thanks to Katie also loves Hellboy (is it one word or two?) wanted to dress up as Abe (is that his name? The water fellow?). So I painted gills for her. It was loads of fun! Except for Elizabeth -the new girl in our branch, who dressed up as Zorro, I think we had the best costumes.

Still Catching Up!! Smithville Days
I know I'm shockingly far behind. I still have to put on camp pictures, not to mention my birthday, eh? Smithville Days was in June (the 14th I believe - 2 months ago!). Katie dressed up in Heather's Jane Austen style dress and did weaving demonstrations (notice the line of the stays visible beneath the dress? Isn't it lovely? I love historical clothing!). I myself did face painting (the first time I'd tried my hand at it. The most tricky one was a shark - and of course, tons of the kids wanted sharks!).
