Hello. No pics, but just a friendly something thrown into the void. I've been feeling as though I'd like to re-vamp my blog, and then tell everyone that yes, I really will update it, please keep visiting.
We'll see.

More North Carolina

I'm Back
I've decided I can't stand Facebook - too busy and difficult to deal with. I like blogs. So here I am again, after you'd all decided I was dead, or missing, or something dreadful like that. Last week, we all drove down to the beach in North Carolina - in the area of Morehead City. Wonderful. It was cooler, so swimming wasn't much of an option (well, Katie & Dylan did swim, but I wasn't bold enough). But I waded a great deal, and built sand castles, and everything was beautiful, relaxing and perfect. These pictures are an abandoned house a few hours from the beach.

The Tree and St. Nicholas Day
We always decorate the tree right after bringing it home. We make hot cocoa, listen to Christmas music, and have a jolly time (the animals have fun too!). We also celebrate St. Nicholas day, which I believe is Dec. 5th. Dylan and Katie put out their wooden shoes, and get lovely treats in them. Dylan wasn't awake, as well as being unable to enjoy his treats right away - he'd just had his wisdom teeth taken out (I have pictures - they're coming!).

Katie: Volleyball & Haircuts
Here's one (sorry there aren't more) picture from Katie's Volleyball season. Her soccer coach was coaching the volleyball, so Katie wanted to participate. It was alot of fun to watch, and reminded me of when Morag & I went to Meridian and I'd draw pictures of her as she played volleyball. How funny. The other pictures chronicle Katie's first haircut. She's had trims before - just to get rid of split ends, but this was the first serious cut in years. It still looks long, but actually, alot was chopped off. We all think it looks lovely!
Dylan's Birthday
Yes, I know I'm WAAAY behind! I wanted to get these posted before the new year...sorry. Anyway, here is Dylan's birthday. Like Katie's, we had Tom from the shop make him a lovely cake (since Wagners in Binghamton closed - a great tragedy). He got up early in the morning with us (school was still on) and opened one present - then took a little nap with Roo on the couch. The other pictures are from the evening, when he opened the rest of his gifts and we had cake.
